| The Mission of Jesus was - |
| to make known to us the love of the Father |
| and show us the way to Him. |
| Knowing our weakness, Jesus sent the spirit |
| to strengthen His followers to live as God's people. |
| This mission Jesus shared with His Apostles and Church. |
| This mission has been passed on to us in Howard Beach. |

| At Our Lady of Grace, we continue - |
| to proclaim God's love |
| to journey together as His followers |
| to depend on the Spirit and to build up the Kingdom of God |
| here and now, in our midst. |
| At Our Lady of Grace, we believe - |
| that religious education is a life-long process; |
| that the goal of religious education is to know God |
| and to respond to God in one's life; |
| that the role of the catechist is to facilitate this process |
| by sharing faith and by good example; |
| that each child entrusted to us is uniquely loved |
| by the Lord and is called to a loving relationship with Him |
| that together - |
| with the religious education staff |
| the parents/guardians |
| the children |
| are called to build a |
| Christian Community in |
| the City of God. |
